Barça to Host First Game at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday
Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in La Liga 30 months following their departure so building work could begin.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans are permitted inside under the licence granted. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.
